
Trauma therapists work under a medical care model, while trauma-informed coaches work based on a support model. A trauma-informed coach is aware of all the nuances of working with clients who have experienced trauma. Trauma-informed coaching involves understanding trauma and how it may show up in current situations for clients. It also means being able to keep a psychologically safe space for the client where they can explore. A trauma-informed coach has training in nervous system regulation, brain-body connection, behavioral reactions, different types of trauma, leading causes, and subsequent symptoms.
When I work with hypnosis, hypnotherapy and EMDR, I incorporate trauma knowledge and can help you process and heal safely.

Trauma often manifests itself in symptoms such as anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, grief reactions, fear, worry, negative self-image, long-term pain, stress, migraines, nightmares, negative thoughts, destructiveness, depression, passivity, fatigue, eating disorders, aggressiveness, avoidance behavior, concentration difficulties, sleep problems, guilt or addiction problems.
